You have been selected to perform one of the most sacred tasks of a citizen: to serve as a juror. A jury of one’s peers is the embodiment of our American system of justice. Trial by jury helps to safeguard our most fundamental freedoms and ensures the impartial resolution of disputes.

Serving as a juror is an important civic responsibility, one which requires you to devote valuable time in order to serve. I am well aware of the sacrifices which jury duty commands. On behalf of the judiciary and the entire community, I thank you for having the courage and commitment to serve.

Harold W. L. Willocks
