Jahmal Andrew Rising Stars Scholarship Fund
All scholarships are grants, authorized by the Superior Court Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra, and shall be subjected to the following conditions:
Be a graduate of a high school in the U.S. Virgin Islands private or parochial. (Former members graduating from a non-U.S. Virgin Islands High School who relocated to complete their final year, may be eligible to receive the Rising Stars scholarship upon submission of a copy of their high school diploma and providing that they left the program in good standing.)

GPA: Member must graduate with a minimum grade point average of 2.75.

Graduating member must be accepted to an institution of higher learning. Ex. College or University, Tech/trade School
3.
Graduating member must be a bona-fide member of the Superior Court Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra for a minimum of three (3) years.
4.
Be a member of good standing with continuous active participation for at least three (3) years.
5.
Be an active participant in at least one major event – Christmas Concert or Carnival activities-during member’s final (senior) year with the rising Stars. (Members who have not participated in at least one major event, during each of the three years prior to their graduation, must actively participate in ALL activities during their senior year.)
6.
Senior/Graduate must prepare an Exit Essay outlining his/her experience within the Rising Stars program citing ways to improve, enhance and strengthen the program and its ability to meet goals and objectives as described in its charter. This Exit Essay must be submitted to the Pretrial Office by June 30th of their graduating year to facilitate preparation of their scholarship checks.
7.
The Jahmal Andrew Rising Stars Scholarship may be deferred for a period not to exceed one year after graduation after which time the funds will be forfeited.
Graduating members entering the military must submit a copy of their discharge papers upon completion of their tour in order to claim their scholarship.
